Vauxhall Astra Design A – 1.8 petrol  Automatic  ~ spares or repair Automatic This Car belongs to my wife and has been great, until two weeks ago when it would not start (as if gear stick, not in park position, maybe its the switch??). got the AA out and they said it was an immobilizer issue, got a lock specialist out and he said immobilizer recognizes key but the error code U2105 indicates ‘can-bus’ communication issue. QUOTE “The automobile fault code u2105 can be caused by a faulty ECM, open or shorted harness, or poor electrical connection”.We are not prepared to spend any more on this car, & we have bought a new one now.so selling spare and repairs, maybe needs new ECU or can bus?? (which i believe is the comms to from the key immobilizer to the ECU).also the battery appears to be dead and ‘shorted out?’, so have to use jump leads(with battery disconnected) to open boot. Apart from the issues above the car has only 95861 miles on clock, MOT until 18-August 2024, and was serviced last September. good Tyres, Automatic gear box, V5 present but only one key at present.BUYER MUST have min 10 purchases / sales and produce ID when collecting. Cash/ on collection or bank transfer.
